JULIE CHRISTIE – 79

She’s one of the most recognizable names when it comes to the film industry. Julie studied in a prestigious school in France and England. She develops her acting skills in London’s Central School for Drama and in 1957, made her first stage debut. Her first major character was in under the direction of John Schlesinger’s Billy Liar (1963). Julie Christie is credited for being a leading figure of the “Swinging London” era that became popular during the 60s.

She also achieved numerous awards and recognition from the Academy, Golden Globes, Screen Actors Guild and BAFTA during her six-decade run in the industry. Many filmmakers credit her participation in their films as one of the reasons why it has garnered much praise—and earnings when it comes to tickets. Six of her films hold the top spot in the British Film Institute’s 100 Greatest British Films of the 20th Century. She was recognized by notable award for her great acting skills.
