This is the case for Judge Greg Mathis, who started as a struggling lawyer and then worked his way to become the Court Judge of Michigan’s 36th District Court. And then, he stars in his own reality show Judge Mathis which began since the year 1999. Judge Mathis earns $5 million per year and has a net worth of $20 million.

Greg Mathis was born in Detroit, Michigan in 1960. Mathis emerged from the success of his respected court series and became an outstanding leader in the black American community as a black culturally inspiring speaker. Now as a retired Superior Court Judge, he continues to appear on the show and also offers legal and community assistance. In addition, there is a play inspired by his life, called Been there, Done that.
