A lot of people were surprised when they saw Missy Elliott’s new fit body. The famed rapper gave credit to a soda-and-bread-free diet that did not just only help her lose weight but also gave her glowing skin. When she lost 30 pounds in 2014, she managed to maintain her new physique with her low-carb diet and intense workouts; a combination of cardio exercise and strength training.

Missy also revealed that she only drank water and avoided other juices, which is part of her low-carb diet. As a non-water drinker, she admitted that it was hard at the start, but she got used to it and eventually helped her skin to glow. Now, her only problem is to cut out junk food from her diet. But we are pretty sure she is on her way there since she is practicing a low-carb diet. We are rooting for you, Missy!
