PENN JILLETTE: STRICT DIET

We have to admit that losing excess pounds off our body is not the same as doing magic tricks. However, the host and half of the famous magical duo, Penn & Teller, did miraculous things about his weight problem. Penn Jillette lost a whopping 100 pounds by following a strict diet. He used to weigh 322 pounds before he decided to lose weight. At the time, his doctors learned that there was a 90% blockage in his heart. As he still wanted to see his kids grew up, he took all the drastic measures he could to shed off the pounds and be healthy again. So, what did he do?


The taller half of Penn & Teller credits the potato diet for his weight loss. He only ate plain potatoes for two weeks, and it was deemed sufficient. This strict diet is also known as a mono-diet, only eating potatoes for 14 days. After that, he started eating vegetable stews and salad to have some variety.
