VENUS WILLIAMS: ~ $95 MILLION
Venus Williams was born in California in 1980 and is the biological sister of Serena Williams, a contemporary female tennis queen. She was the world’s number one in women’s singles, won 23 Grand Slam titles and the 2008 WTA year-end finals, and entered the Olympics 5 times, winning 4 golds and 1 silver. Venus Williams played professional tennis when she was just 14 years old.
One of her most memorable game was in the Australian Open in the late ’90s, when she defeated her younger sister Serena but lost in the quarterfinals to Lindsay Davenport. Venus was the Women’s Tennis Association’s World No. 1 on three occasions and won four Olympic gold medals. Only 40 years old, she has a huge net worth of $95 million. That’s partly because she and her sister became part-owners of the Miami Dolphins since 2009. Venus holds a degree in Business Administration and plans to get an MBA soon.
