BJORN ULVAEUS: ~ $300 MILLION
We grew up listening to the tunes of Dancing Queen, Mamma Mia, and Fernando, and the popular singing group ABBA will always be our ’70s and ’80s favorite. One of the original founding members, Bjorn Ulvaeus was born in Gothenburg, Sweden in 1945. In 1972, he started working with Benny Andersson. Soon they formed the ABBA band with Agnetha Faltskog and Anni-Frid Lyngstad.
The name of the band comes from the combination of the initials of the letters of the four members. The two men and two women were two couples. ABBA was dissolved in 1982. ABBA took the world by storm, having earned a total record sales of over 380 million. After the group went on hiatus in 1982, Ulvaeus continued pursuing a solo career, and recently he co-produced the rom-com film, Mamma Mia! He has not retired yet, and his current net worth is $300 million.
