Robin Roberts was born in Alabama in 1960 and grew up in Mississippi. After attending Southeast Louisiana University, Roberts was a sports anchor for local TV and radio stations. Roberts was an ESPN narrator for 15 years. She became the co-anchor of Good Morning America in 2005. Another achiever in our long list of the rich and famous is the news anchor Robin Roberts.

Included in her credentials is being a high school salutatorian and a cum laude graduate with a degree in communication from Southeastern Louisiana University. The American broadcaster is currently the anchor of Good Morning America with an annual salary of $18 million. Sadly, she was diagnosed with breast cancer in 2007, and despite undergoing surgery and chemotherapy, she was again diagnosed with myelodysplastic syndrome in 2012, which required a bone marrow transplant. Since then, she became a voice to those with the same disease.
