Barbara Mandrell used to dominate the airwaves from the 1970s to the 1980s. Joe Maphis discovered Barbara, and later on, he cast her in one of his shows in Las Vegas. At 12, she was already an expert in using steel guitar and made her caught a gig in Vegas. She had been known for a lot of country hits back then and her own variety show on NBC, which helped cement her name as one of the country’s most successful female vocalists. Mandrell is now 73 and famously known as a country music singer, musician, and actress.

In 1997, she took her final bow in a concert at the Grand Ole Opry House. From then on, she eventually retired from performing. In 2009, she got the most prestigious credit a celebrity could receive as her name got inducted into the Country Music Hall of Fame. In 2016, she was also inducted into the Musicians Hall of Fame and Museum.
