Dick Cavett is a former actor and a famous talk show host during the late 60s until the mid-80s. He also worked as a writer in popular shows such as The Tonight Show that was aired from 1960 until 1986. He also hosted The Dick Cavett Show that ran from the mid 60 until the late 80s. Cavett was called “The King of Late Night” and during his time was the highest-paid television personality. He was first an aspiring magician but later on develops different talents and become a host.

His immense dedication helped him to be one of the most recognized personality even until now. For those who followed his personal life, he has had a series of serious episodes of clinical depression that first appeared right before he got his degree at Yale. Good thing he was able to bounce back from his situation and lived a peaceful and private life.
